We have upgraded MoDazzle to version 3.0.8
It looks the same, true, but there are changes!

Fixed not being able to change your MoDazzle password
Fix Salesforce commands (they work again)
Added Google Search, Froogle, and News search commands

What else is there to look forward to?
Do you use a Blackberry? If so, we will be deploying a downloading client for MoDazzle which makes MoDazzle much easier to use. More on the way soon!

What have we been up to?

Making a MoDazzle client for Blackberry phones. With this client, the MoDazzle product is even easier to use. For example:

You don't have to remember the email addresses to use MoDazzle
Finding commands to use is as easy as typing a word or two
Helpful popup prompt tells you what you need to enter (ie: your profile message, message for your wall, etc)

We hope to have this available for download early next week. If you have a Blackberry and interested in using the client, let us know! support@modazzle.com

Issue Fixed: Unable to add new email addresses to MoDazzle account

We have fixed an issue which kept users from being able to add a new email address to their MoDazzle profile.

You may have noticed various outages on MoDazzle.com today while we investigated the problem. But, it is now fixed!

MoDazzle Adds RSS/Atom Feed Reading Capability

It's not on the official site, but it is official, I just installed a RSS/Atom feed reader into MoDazzle. Specifically, you can:

Read feeds by sending a feed name (like: slashdot, onion, nytimes) in the subject line
Read a feed with a feed URL (ie: http://blog.modazzle.com/atom.xml ) in the subject line

To use:
Send a email to read@modazzle.com. For example, try:

Depending on adoption, there are more features to add:

Add feed your own feed aliases for a feed URL
aggregate multiple feeds into one request
I am sure there is more ;)

Notes

This command doesn't work with SMS (text messages) due to the size of the content
Anonymous requests for feeds are disabled for security and abuse reasons. Please sign-up for MoDazzle to try the RSS/Atom feed reader

MoDazzle Service Restarted

We experienced an OutOfMemory exception on one of our MoDazzle servers. As a result, we need to restart the service. You may have noticed receiving some duplicate responses to commands you sent to the system (or responses from things you didn't think was going to respond). These should be all done by now.

ZoomInfo is being inconsistent

It seems that the ZoomInfo website isn't serving content reliabily (which is causing some of your ZoomInfo related commands to fail). We are looking into this, and will update as soon as we know more.

New LinkedIn Backend

In an effort to make our service better, I am implementing a new backend for LinkedIn integration. This is a new approach which I am hoping improves the stability our LinkedIn service, while making it easier to develop and maintain new services.

We need a couple of days, but, it's making good progress.

Why have a real-time status page?

Well, the web changes...a lot. And it does it fast. The sites we use to get the information you want sometimes change the way they work. As a result, sometimes our scrapers break. :(

What are we doing about it?

We are doing two fold:

(1) We will do our best to let you know when services are down

If you ask for a service that is currently down (like LinkedIn Connections for example), we will let you know that we know this service is down, and to try back again. (The site currently gives some cryptic messages instead of something useful like above...we are working on it!)

(2) We are working code our site in a way that makes it more resilient to changes that frequently happen.

This is an ongoing process for us, so we appreciate your understanding, patience, and feedback. This only exists because of you, so please give us feedback!
